Hotel Information: Ramada Rolling Green, Andover MA.

Driving Directions:

The Andover Ramada is located right off of Exit 43 from Route 93, just one exit south of where Routes 93 and 495 meet. The hotel can be reached at (978) 475-5400

Public Transportation:

Yes, you CAN get to Andover from Boston by public Transportation. We will be running a free shuttle bus from the Andover commuter rail station to the hotel.

For those flying in from Logan:

The Ramada Inn and Holiday Inn may have shuttle services from Logan to the hotels. Please call the hotels to confirm.

Commuter Rail

The HAVERHILL Commuter Rail line departs from Boston's North Station on Saturdays and Sundays at 8:45 am, 11:45 am, 2:45 pm, 5:45 pm and 11:30 pm and the train trip takes 48 minutes. Six trains also go back the other way at 10:31 am, 1:31 pm, 4:31 pm, 7:31 pm, and 10:31 pm.

The train fare one way is $4.00.
A FREE shuttle bus should be waiting when each train arrives at the station, or within five minutes.
If you just can't wait, you can also call the Andover Cab Company, (978) 475-2888. Tell the driver you are going to the Andover Ramada/Rolling Green. A cab ride to the hotel is expected to be about $6.00. (1.5 miles)

Update: As of 12/05/01, the Ramada Inn is sold-out. Please see info for the over-flow hotel below. Please note that all hotels require early notice for cancellation. Please contact the hotel about the latest cancellation time to avoid unwanted charges.

The Ramada Inn can be reached at (978) 475-5400, rooms are $99 per night, with a two night minimum stay. You must book by calling the hotel directly and not through the Ramada web site. Say you're with the fleamarket to reserve your rooms. They will tell you that they are sold-out if you don't mention the fleamarket. When the Ramada sells out, the Holiday Inn Tewksbury will be taking our overflow at the same rate. We will be running a free shuttle van between the two hotels all day Saturday and Sunday, and throughout the party.

If you are a representative of a community group or organization and would like to use your room (which you have already reserved) as a meeting place for your members, please let us know by emailing fff@nla-newengland.org or call 617-864-0492 and leave a message for Cecilia. That way we can insure your placement in an appropriate room, for example, along the party hallway.

Greetings from Vivienne, Chair of NELA:

Welcome, everyone, to the New England Leather Alliance's 18th Fetish Fair Fleamarket®.

This is our second time in the lovely town of Andover having the FFF over an entire weekend. Given how much fun we had last year and what we anticipate having today, we hope to make this two-day event an annual occurrence.

Dedicating an entire hotel to the fetish community is quite extraordinary, even if only for 48 hours. So come in, be a part of the magic: browse, shop, revel in the atmosphere, learn something new, see an old friend, relax and ENJOY!

This Flea (and every other Flea) would not happen without the incredibly hard work and commitment of Cecilia Tan, FFF Director and NELA's Director of Media Relations. The rest of the Board and Officers are all outstanding individuals and NELA is incredibly lucky to have them: Kimberly Bradshaw — Director of Programming, Danny — Director of Community Liaisons, David Fortini- Director of External Relations, John Klein — Legislative Director, St James - Production Director, and Wil - our Membership Officer. A special thanks to Gus for his recent commitment to takeover our website and the great work he has done so far.

When we are not busy running the Fetish Fair Fleamarket®, NELA is hard at work on it's mission: the New England Leather Alliance (NELA) is an organization dedicated to making a safe place in the world for all leather/fetish/bdsm people through education, advocacy, communication and charitable giving. We are currently focusing on a lot of stimulating stuff ... repealing the archaic sex laws still on the books of Massachusetts (did you know that vibrators are illegal in this state?) ... organizing discussion groups ... giving talks to other groups on safe S/m sex ... and we need your help. Volunteer a few hours, write an article for our newsletter, teach a class, come to events, tell your friends, join NELA, be a part of an active leather/fetish/SM group.

Rules

The New England Leather Alliance would like you to be aware of the following Rules of Conduct for the FFF:

Violation of any of these rules may be reason for ejection from event areas without refund.

Anyone breaking Massachusets' law or disrupting the event will be asked to leave the premises.

General Rules

1. Admission is $10 for the general public, $5 for NELA associates and members of NLA:I affiliate groups or other leather activist organizations--bring your membership card or wear your colors! (Members of WMPE, BDS, TES, Black Rose, GMSMA, Female Trouble, Dreizhen, Riders M.C., and others need only show club ID or colors at the door to enter.)
2. No Smoking Inside. When smoking outside, please be courteous to others.
3. No Nudity. It's against the law!
4. No phototraphic or recording devices of any kind. Film will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave. Authorized photographers will be displaying badges.
5. You may briefly try out paddles, floggers on yourself only if you have permission from the vendor There will be no engaging of public scenes or public sex. Restrooms are considered public areas.
6. No food or driks in the vending area.
